Empowering Inclusion Through Accessible Information

In a significant step toward #inclusivity, important public documents from the #Department of #Census & #Statistics in Sri Lanka have been printed in #Braille, ensuring #accessibility for #vision-impaired individuals. This incredible initiative was spearheaded by #Manique Gunaratne of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Specialised Training & Disability Resource Centre in October 2023.

Access to information is a fundamental right, and this effort paves the way for equal participation and empowerment of persons with #disabilities in society. Let’s celebrate this meaningful milestone and continue advocating for a more inclusive Sri Lanka!
