Wheels Across the World in Thailand

Navigating the buzzing streets of Bangkok as a person with a #disability is an adventure filled with contrasts. #Manique Gunaratne got the opportunity to experience the streets of #Bangkok in Thailand in February 2025.  From the delicious chaos of street food alleys to the towering temples and skytrains, there’s so much to experience — but not always with ease.

Cracked sidewalks, missing ramps, and inaccessible transport still create roadblocks.
Yet moments of kindness, adaptive efforts, and inclusive spots shine through, proving that every step towards #accessibility matters.

#Travelling should not be a test of endurance — it should be a celebration of freedom, exploration, and inclusion for everyoneLet’s reimagine travel that truly leaves no one behind.

Manique stands in front of a modern building entrance, wearing a colorful striped dress. Behind her are luggage carts, and the glass reveals a spacious lobby with seated people.
