A Step Towards Inclusive Development

 #Manique Gunaratne delivered an inspiring presentation on the topic “How to Include #Women with #Disabilities in the Mainstream of Development” at a special seminar held at the #Induruwa #Beach #Hotel in October 2008.

The event was organized by the #Association for #Women with #Disabilities and generously sponsored by Healthlink Worldwide – U.K. The seminar brought together women with disabilities from across the country, creating a platform for dialogue, empowerment, and action.

Manique’s session emphasized the importance of inclusive development strategies that recognize the unique challenges and strengths of women with disabilities. Her presentation called for practical measures to ensure that women with disabilities are not just included, but are active participants and leaders in social, economic, and political spheres.

The event served as a powerful reminder that true development can only be achieved when no one is left behind.
