Recognising the Invisible

Behind every thriving society lies the #unseen and #unpaid labour of countless women. In November 2023, #Manique Gunaratne attended a powerful discussion unfolded at #Waters #Edge Hotel, where the #National Democratic Institute (#NDI) presented groundbreaking research on unpaid work in Sri Lanka, with the support of the #Women #Media #Collective. #Women with #Disabilities were also included in this programme. This event highlighted the urgent need to value, recognize, and redistribute unpaid care and domestic work—a key step toward gender equality.
