Lighting Digital Capacity

Manique Gunaratne is engaged in inclusion of persons with #disabilities in the Lighting Digital Capacity Building Drive and regional development initiatives of ICTA for the citizen empowerment and youth sector. With the critical foundational work completed and multiple initiatives ongoing; ICTA plans to facilitate the adoption and rolling-out initiatives island-wide with a Regional Development Drive.

The ICTA hosted a Stakeholder Engagement Forum at the Information & Technology Agency (ICTA) Auditorium in December 2022 forCitizen Capacity Building as part of the Lighting Digital National Forum. This offers a space for retrospect, the exchange of success stories, knowledge, problems, lessons learned, technological innovation, and other issues related to Citizen capacity building on digital transformation, the identification, and improvement of key initiatives for 2023, and the exploration of potential partner collaborations.

The main focus is a large, colorful backdrop banner with the title "LIGHTING DIGITAL..." and the tagline "A Journey that Enabled Digital Transformation". The banner includes the logo for ICTA (Information and Communication Technology Agency) and features several images of people engaging with technology, along with logos of supporting partners like Microsoft and JICA. In the foreground, there are several rows of office chairs with white frames and blue seats, suggesting an audience seating area. In the center, there is a small table set up as a podium or presentation area, with a white, slanted document holder displaying the ICTA logo. To the right of the podium area is a large, blank projector screen on a stand, and another, smaller projector screen is visible on the far left. The room has a low ceiling with square fluorescent light panels and is carpeted. A man is partially visible sitting in a chair on the far right side of the image. It appears to be a space preparing for or recently used for a formal presentation on digital initiatives.

The image shows a group of people sitting around tables in an indoor meeting or workshop. Most attendees are looking forward or engaged in discussion. On the wall, there are sticky notes under the headings "Women" and "Youth", suggesting a brainstorming or planning session related to demographics. The setting is a bright, simple conference room with a wooden door visible on the left.

A woman wearing a maroon and white patterned saree and a beaded necklace is seated and looking towards the camera during an indoor meeting or conference. Several other people are visible behind her, including a bald man in an orange robe (likely a monk) and individuals wearing face masks. The setting is a brightly lit room with dark tables.
